Alert was sent out late Monday evening in regards to an armed suspect who locked themselves inside a residence around Broadway and Iris.

Boulder Police Department (BPD) has issued a warning for residents to avoid the 3300 block of Broadway near Iris, as an armed suspect has barricaded himself inside a residence. BPD  alerts that the scene is currently active. Recent updates from Boulder PD have stated that there are no confirmed reports of any fatalities at the time.

According to BPD tweets, Lafayette police notified Boulder police regarding a “potential hostage situation”. Officers rescued two people from the house. 

The suspect is believed to be armed with multiple firearms and is now in custody.
