Breaking News: Boulder police investigating a shooting at 13th and Canyon
Amidst a pattern of gun-related incidents in the Boulder area, Boulder Police are investigating another shooting at 13 and Canyon Street on Monday, Feb.27 at 10:25 p.m.
Boulder police are investigating a shooting that occurred at 13th and Canyon Street.
A man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and police are working to gather information on the suspect, according to a tweet from Boulder police.
CU Emergency Alert System notified the campus community of the shooting via text and email.
According to the alert, the suspect is described as a white, heavy-set male with dark hair and a large coat.
The alert comes a week after shots were fired in the Millenium Hotel and a false report of an active shooter at Boulder High School on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

CU Boulder asking residents in the 17th and Athens area to lock their doors and windows.
Update 11:18 p.m.
CU asks residents to avoid the Boulder Creek path near Folsom Street and Newton Court area and stay inside.
