The Snow Globes: How To Submit and More Information
Students create a lot of amazing work throughout their time in college that, unfortunately, gets forgotten about after it’s submitted for a grade. That’s such a waste of great content! If there’s one thing we’re against here in Boulder, it’s waste…That’s why we’ve decided to create The Snow Globes: a student showcase run by students for students.
The Snow Globes is an opportunity for students to share work they are proud of with a wider audience besides their professors. Instead of worrying about a grade, the work is highlighted for being unique to its creator. Furthermore, the showcase is an attempt to open up the university and make it feel more like a community (especially in COVID times). It offers students the opportunity to connect with peers they might not have class with and, potentially, meet a new collaborative partner.
All Forms of Creative Media Welcomed!
We want to highlight all the creative mediums the students are working in…so, if you’re a student a CU and you have made a video or short film, song, full album, great photo or photo series, VR scene, app you’ve developed or if you wrote a creative short story…anything creative… submit it!
The Snow Globes will go live with all submissions being published onto the website on December 11th. Then, during the winter break, The Bold’s staff of over 50 students will vote on which ones they think stand out from the rest and post a spotlight showcase for these particular pieces throughout the break.
How to submit your work:
- Complete this submission form in its entirety Snow Globes – Submission Form
- You must use your colorado.edu email address in order to be accepted.
